  • Morrison Expands Its Presence In The East  - 04/11/2012 News

    Morrison has secured three new contracts in the East of England, boosting its presence in the region. The first new relationship is with Hundred Houses Society, which has named Morrison as its preferred bidder for the provision of its void property repairs and refurbishment contract for over 1000 homes in Cambridge. The three year contract, with a potential two year extension will be worth £1.4million over its life span and will be operated from Morrison’s existing facilities in Cambridge.

  • Morrison Mobilises £130 Million of New Business  - 28/04/2012 News

    Morrison has commenced its new financial year with the mobilisation of three new repairs contracts worth in excess of £130 million, with a potential worth in excess of £165million subject to contract extensions. The new partnerships include a seven year contract, with a possible two year extension, with Home Group for the provision of responsive repairs, voids maintenance and planned maintenance to 15,000 properties in the North East, Home Group’s largest region.

  • Morrison starts year on a high with £53 million worth of new contracts  - 22/02/2010 News

    Morrison has started the year as it means to go on with seven new contract wins worth over £53million. These wins take the total value of the repairs and maintenance provider’s new contracts since April 2009 to over £397million, with a potential worth in excess of £464million subject to contract extensions. The new wins include four contracts in the North of England, including a £10million five year contract with Warrington Borough Council to provide responsive repairs and programmed building maintenance services to the council’s 225 public buildings.

  • Morrison Awarded 10 Year Maintenance Contract in East Kent  - 27/11/2009 People

    Shepway District Council has awarded a new long term multi-million pound contract to leading repairs and maintenance provider Morrison. The ten year contract, which has an option for five one year extensions, will commence on the 1 April 2010 and is worth around £3 million per annum. Morrison secured the contract following a competitive tender process. Morrison will provide a range of repairs and maintenance services including day to day responsive repairs, out of hours emergency services, kitchen and bathroom replacement work, electrical maintenance and disabled adaptations.

  • £37 million of new business for Morrison  - 16/09/2009 News

    Social housing repairs and maintenance provider Morrison has announced the successful award of a further £37 million of new contracts with options to increase that to £63 million. This latest announcement, made at Morrison’s annual conference in Norwich, brings the total value of new business won over the last year to £198 million.

  • MPC’S Apprentice Intake up by Over 50%  - 14/09/2009 People

    A group of young people in North Lanarkshire are celebrating having secured apprenticeships with repairs and maintenance provider Maintenance and Property Care (MPC), a joint venture between Morrison and North Lanarkshire Council, which has increased its apprentice intake by over 50 per cent this year compared to 2008. The 11 new apprentices, who are all from North Lanarkshire, will spend the next four years developing their chosen trade at MPC working alongside experienced trades people as well as studying the technical aspect at college.

  • Quarter of a Million Saving for the London Borough of Havering  - 09/07/2009 News

    Morrison,one of the leading providers of maintenance services and capital projects to the housing sector, is piloting a scheme for the London Borough of Havering to reduce void times on the properties it manages for private landlords. The council runs a Private Section Leasing (PSL) scheme managing the renting and maintenance of properties leased from private landlords across the borough. It recently faced concerns relating to turnaround times so it turned to Morrison to work with the council to pilot a scheme to improve ‘key to key’ vacancy time by reducing the time spent preparing properties for the next tenant.

  • Morrison Wins New Social Housing Business Nationwide  - 17/06/2009 Application

    Social housing repairs and maintenance contractor Morrison has been appointed to a framework contract in Manchester and has been named as preferred bidder on contracts in Bristol and Suffolk. In the north of England, Morrison is to join the framework agreement operated by City West Housing Trust in Salford, Greater Manchester, for a £146 million refurbishment and regeneration programme.

  • New Chief Executive at Morrison Facilities Services  - 23/10/2008 People

    A new chief executive has taken charge of one of the country’s largest social housing refurbishment, repair and maintenance companies. Guy Wakeley (38) is the new head of Morrison Facilities Services which looks after 400,000 homes in the UK for councils, housing associations and arms length management organisations (ALMOs). Mr Wakeley joins Morrison from support services group Amey plc, where he was managing director for its Built Environment division.

  • Major Contractor Announces Apprentice of the Year  - 28/01/2008 News

    Young apprentices from across the UK descended on London in the hope of being named National Apprentice of the Year 2007/08 at a special event organised by contractor Morrison Facilities Services. Winners of the company's London & South East, Birmingham, Manchester, Gateshead and Scotland regional Apprentice of the Year awards all competed to be named Apprentice of the Year at the event on 18 January at the Regents Park Holiday Inn, London.

  • Top Birmingham Apprentices Rewarded  - 19/11/2007 News

    Contractor Morrison has rewarded its top apprentices from across Birmingham for their work to repair and maintain homes for Birmingham City Council with a special event held to recognise their achievements. The top prize of Apprentice of the Year was awarded in two categories. Nicholas Binder (19) won the Apprentice of the Year award in the second year category for his work as an apprentice carpenter. He was joined by Sean King (22) an apprentice plumber who won the same award in the third year category.
